Anna Buzan, graduated from BA (Hons) Fashion & Design in The National College of Art and Design, Dublin in 2019 with a High Class Honours (1.1).
Anna has worked under the guidance of Natalie B Coleman for the ‘Guaranteed To Bleed AW 18’ Collection’, collaborating and working alongside Natalie creating beautiful bead work, french knotted applique and crochet accessories.
She has gained her love for tailoring from working alongside a master tailor and seamstress Natalia Sherepitko in Moldova during the summers of 2016 - 2019. Focusing on the trait of pattern drafting, cut and sewing. This skill is seen throughout Anna’s collection. Form, silhouette, fabrication and print are the focal point of Anna’s collections.
Her work focuses on handcraft skills, such as hand-painting, digital art, crocheting, bead work and tailoring. Her graduate collection ‘The Reincarnation’ plays with the juxtaposition between contrasting elements: love and lust , tradition and modernity, femininity and masculinity.
Anna has been shortlisted for the Future Maker Award 2019 and has her work displayed in The Business Post, The University Times, Om Diva, Powerscourt Dublin. She collaborated with designers and artists such as Hairstylist Paul Stafford 2019, Seán Moore photography graduate from Griffith College 2019 and Natalie B Coleman.
Anna has worked as a tailor for Paul Henry Tailoring Dublin, working on menswear, womenswear and military wear. While building up her own label - Anna Buzan - as an up and coming fashion designer in Dublin’ since graduating November 2019. Currently stocked in Beautiful South, Dublin’s hot spot for finding beautifully crafted pieces.
